Our professional staff of Patrol Deputies can be seen in the rural parts of the county where no local law enforcement exists. Their job is to aggressively patrol in manner that increases visibility in those rural areas, this type of patrol activity reduces crime before it occurs.  Our K-9 teams are considered some of the best in the state and will not only support other Sheriff’s Deputies but also other State, County and Local Police agencies.

 

The Sheriff’s office will seek to understand and confront the underlying problems that lead to most calls for service.  Through problem solving and community policing, the Sheriff’s Office will always strive to improve the quality of life for its citizens and guests.

 

By working together with other Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement in the County as a team, we can maintain the peace, provide safety and security for our citizens and reduce crime and the fear of crime.
